The title tells the whole story. Take yourself back to the Victor Talking Machine Co. offices back in the teens (those teens, not these teens). Several obvious visitors from exotic southern locales present themselves: "We are the Hurtado Brothers Royal Marimba Band of Guatemala. On your knees, vendedores Americanos de grabaciones." The official marimba band of the King of Guatemala! Who knew there was a King of Guatemala, much less the official Royal Marimba Band? The Hurtado Brothers went on to a stellar career up into the later '20s proving to the music loving public that there is no need of one of those orchestras when you have a marimba band, and the Royal Marimba Band of Guatemala to boot. Here, to prove their point, is Aida Selection, featuring the Grand March.
